Ledger has instructed its resellers and distributors across several Asian markets to suspend device sales and pull products from shelves while it investigates a supply-chain attack involving device tampering.

The affected markets named in the request include:

    • Indonesia
    • Singapore
    • Thailand
    • Philippines
    • Vietnam
    • Malaysia
    • Hong Kong

The suspension applies to resellers and distributors operating in these regions, who have been asked to stop selling devices and remove them from display while the investigation is ongoing. The company is looking into tampering that occurred somewhere along the distribution chain rather than in its own manufacturing process.

This kind of attack is particularly serious for hardware wallet vendors, since a compromised device could potentially expose users' funds if they trust it to generate or store their seed phrases. Anyone who purchased a Ledger device through a third-party seller in the affected regions should treat the device with caution until the company provides further guidance.

Details on which specific batches, serial numbers, or seller channels are affected have not been publicly confirmed at this time.

Did you buy a Ledger through a third-party seller in any of these markets, and how are you verifying your device is genuine?
