Three separate research teams successfully demonstrated remote exploits against the Google Pixel 10 at Pwn2Own Ireland on October 8, according to contest results. The competition, held in Cork, requires every target device to be running the latest, fully patched software, making successful exploits significantly harder to achieve. Researchers are paid for working exploits, and the discovered flaws are handed over to the affected vendors for remediation.

One of the three Pixel exploits earned Ikotas Labs a $300,000 payout, the contest's top prize, and secured the team the overall winner title. Details on the specific vulnerabilities used in each exploit chain were not disclosed in the report.

    • Targets at Pwn2Own must be fully patched before an attempt
    • Three distinct teams demonstrated working Pixel 10 exploits
    • Ikotas Labs took the top prize of $300,000 and the overall win
    • Flaws are passed to the vendor after demonstration

Does your organization factor contest-discovered mobile exploits like these into your patch and threat modeling priorities?
