The vulnerability, tracked as CVE-2026-88779, carries a CVSS score of 8.7 out of 10.0. According to the available information, it is a memory overflow vulnerability in Citrix NetScaler ADC and Citrix NetScaler Gateway that can lead to disruption of SAML deployments.

    • Affected products: NetScaler ADC and Citrix NetScaler Gateway
    • Severity: CVSS 8.7 (high)
    • Exploitation status: exploited in targeted zero-day attacks
    • Potential impact: SAML deployments can be knocked offline

Citrix has issued security updates to fix the issue. Given active exploitation, administrators running affected NetScaler ADC or NetScaler Gateway instances should review the vendor guidance and apply the available updates as soon as possible.
