Citrix admins warned to shut down NetScalers over 2 exploited zero-days
-
Two unpatched zero-day vulnerabilities in Citrix NetScaler are reportedly being exploited in active attacks. Cybersecurity agencies, security researchers, and IT providers have been privately warning organizations about the flaws ahead of patches expected next week.
Because no patches are available yet, administrators are being advised to consider shutting down exposed NetScaler appliances as a precaution until fixes are released.
Key points so far:
- The vulnerabilities affect Citrix NetScaler and remain unpatched at this time.
- Exploitation has reportedly been observed in the wild.
- Patches are expected to arrive next week, according to the warnings circulating among agencies and researchers.
- Until then, taking affected systems offline is one of the few defensive options available.
Organizations running NetScaler in an internet-facing capacity should treat this as urgent and review their exposure while awaiting official fixes.
